About AWIB

The Association of Women in Business welcomes you to The Duke MBA!

The vision of AWIB is "Helping Women Succeed in the Business World." We are a professional development club for Fuqua female students, providing career support and raising awareness of the unique issues and challenges facing women in the workplace. To this end, we create programming for members to network with women in the extended Fuqua and Duke communities: present students, alumnae, faculty and Duke University graduate and undergraduate women. We host panel discussions to address academic and career challenges in a supportive environment, and we offer service events as a way for Fuqua women to give back to the broader Durham community.

We also play a leading role in recruiting the next generation of women leaders at The Duke MBA, and we are proud to report that the Class of 2010 is 38% women.  In 2008, AWIB was named the Duke MBA Club of the Year, an honor based on student satisfaction ratings and a vote by other club presidents.

Please browse through our website to learn more about our club activities and events planned throughout the year. We look forward to a great academic year 2008-09!
