The DVF position is a mentored study at a local venture capital or private equity firm. The Match Day serves as the beginning of the interview and selection process for students interested in working at these firms. The expected DVF position will begin with a Mentored Study in Terms 3 and 4 and will extend into a summer internship and potentially Terms 1 and 2 of SY at the firm’s request. All of the parameters and deliverables of the Mentored Study as laid out by Jim Sheldon apply to the DVF positions. Students from countries where English is not the first language, please note that you may need to complete a language proficiency evaluation as outlined in the syllabus prior to the Match Day.
All students who expect to take part in the Match Day on the 9th must attend the prep session on the 3rd and must also have attended one of Jim Sheldon’s info sessions for the Mentored Study.
We will send the resumes of the students participating in the Match Day to the VCs on Thursday night, after the prep session. Please send your resume to Andrew Shriner no later than Wednesday night Nov 2. If you don’t submit a resume and/or do not attend the prep session you will not be able to participate in the Match Day.
The DVF is a great program and it’s a great way to get into the venture capital industry.
