Jim Dempsey is responsible for this website. In addition to his EVCC responsibilities, Jim is Co-President of FuquaWest, a cabinet member of FuquaVision, and an active member of Fuqua Toastmasters.
Prior to coming to Duke's Fuqua School of Business, Jim managed software and quality assurance engineers at Iron Speed, a start-up in Silicon Valley. He has held various software management, architecture, and development roles in Silicon Valley and New York. Jim has led the development of production websites and software development tools, as well as applications for the medical and aerospace industries.
Jim holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Binghamton University (SUNY). During this past summer, Jim was a fellow at Flywheel Ventures. Upon completing his MBA in May 2007, he plans to continue pursuing a career in venture capital.
