He oversaw the Discovery Channel’s recent large-scale branding campaign, and the debut of several breakout hit series such as AMERICAN CHOPPER and MONSTER GARAGE, ratings-grabbing specials such as NEFERTITI RESURRECTED, which earned a 4.0 household rating and drew close to 10 million people in its premiere, the BBC co-production WALKING WITH CAVEMEN, which delivered an average of 4.8 million viewers and garnered a 3.7 household rating; and the kick-off to SHARK WEEK 2003 -- ANATOMY OF A SHARK BITE -- which earned the network its highest rated SHARK WEEK premiere in terms of households since 1989. Campbell has also overseen the continued upward climb of TLC’s national obsession TRADING SPACES and companion series WHILE YOU WERE OUT, as well as the launch of additional highly rated new series like WHAT NOT TO WEAR.

Among other successes realized during his first year with Discovery Networks, the premiere of THE FUTURE IS WILD on Animal Planet earned the network its highest ratings ever, and the Travel Channel hit it big with the hugely successful series WORLD POKER TOUR, which has garnered some of the highest ratings in network history. In addition, Campbell has overseen the unprecedented live 10-hour programming event BIRTH DAY LIVE on Discovery Health Channel.
