The Duke MBA Games is a tradition that distinguishes Fuqua from other business education programs.
In 1989, a group of students decided to invite their friends from other top business schools to Durham to enjoy the warm spring weather while raising money for Special Olympics North Carolina (SONC). Since then, the Duke MBA Games has evolved into the largest student run event on campus.
While the scope and breadth of opportunities for volunteers have increased, our mission remains the same: to raise money for Special Olympics. In fact, the Duke MBA Games has grown to become the largest single fundraising event for SONC! Last year, the club donated over $100,000 to SONC. This year, we plan to increase this amount and have even more fun doing it. However, we can only do it with the help of corporate sponsors, participating schools, and the Fuqua community.
Opportunities for Fuqua StudentsDuke MBA Games provides a great way to create relationships with Fortune 500 companies, alumni, partners and local businesses that provide sponsorship through donations of money or product. A wide variety of year-round fun and festivities offer students a chance to lead and grow while helping Special Olympians.
Check out the 2007-2008 event calendar, watch for more information throughout the year about how to get involved or contact the committee chairs to learn more.
