North Carolina offers endless opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.  Duke's location provides access to both the beaches and mountains within a 3-hour drive. 

Students take advantage of Duke's great location by enjoying weekend camping, whitewater rafting , ski trips, scuba diving, windsurfing, kiteboarding, surfing and weekend vacations at the beach.

Nearby sites offer spectacular mountain biking, hiking, fishing, rock climbing, kayaking and just about any outdoor activity you can imagine.
