Who We Are

The Asset Management Club (AMC) actively manages an equity portfolio known as the Reynolds Trust. The AMC provides Fuqua students the unique opportunity to manage a real investment portfolio and to hone asset management skills through the "stock pitch" process and by making portfolio management decisions. The Club provides many opportunities for First Year student involvement, and it is one of the only clubs that holds regular weekly meetings. Leadership positions involve responsibilities that range from the management of club activities to the coverage of specific industries or equities. Additionally, we donate a portion of our annual income to local charities.

What We Do

• Weekly Club Meetings: the AMC holds weekly club meetings on Tuesdays at NOON in room Seminar G.
• Stock Pitches: members are encouraged to get involved by researching, and pitching, an attractive stock to the club. We will conduct a stock pitch workshop in Term 1, where we will valuation and research techniques. Gain valuable insight on how to analyze a company, a valuable skill that will aid you no matter what career path you choose.
• Guest Speaker Series: the club brings in guest speakers from Wall Street, money management firms, and hedge funds, as well as finance faculty to share their experiences and insights with the students. This exclusive access to industry professionals offers students a powerful educational opportunity.
• Investment Policy Committee (IPC) Meetings: the eleven member IPC meets every Tuesday at 11:30AM in room Seminar G. This committee is responsible to make the purchase and sell decisions for the portfolio. There will be positions available on this committee for First Year students.
• Buy-side resume book: the club publishes a resume book for interested students, to be sent directly to targeted money management firms. The club is an important resource for students seeking a career in investments.
• New Events and Ideas: the club is continually looking for new opportunities to add value for Fuqua students and enhance its exposure to the investment community. This provides unique opportunities for First Year students to become actively involved in the leadership of the club. Some potential events for next year include a Stock Pitch Competition, Investment Management Conference, Study program for the CFA designation.
