Fundraising Efforts
The program consists of a number of annual fundraisers and culminates in a program where FY students can give a portion of their summer internship salary, or “Give-A-Day”, to supporting some of their classmates.
Some examples of annual fundraisers include:
- The Great Fuqua Stache-off: A two-week moustache growing competition which boasted the participation of over 60 students in its first year. Students “donate” $25 to join the contest which concludes with a parade, awards for various types of moustaches, and a blowout “Stache Bash” on the final night.
- Fuqua Cookbook: Put together in conjunction with the MBA Games, this book is a collection of over 100 recipes from all around the Fuqua community. This is a unique way to capture the culture and spirit of the Fuqua experience, in a medium that will last well beyond our formal years here at Fuqua.
- Trivia Night: A Tuesday night event held at the Varsity Ale House where students gather in the spirit of mental stimulation and intellectual jousting. Last year, nearly 100 students participated in the affair, which resulted in hours of good spirited competition.
- Cap & Gown rental for Graduating Fuqua students: Caps, gowns, hoods, and tassels are available for renting out for Graduating Fuqua students with 100% of the proceeds going towards the CASE Summer Internship Fund.
